KYP’s mission is to eradicate the poverty of mind, body, and soul and to fight against the disadvantages imposed on the children of Kliptown, by providing educational support and after school activities. It seeks to develop young and dynamic individuals who are willing to contribute effectively for the betterment of their community.

Our tutoring, athletic, and arts programs provide a life to the children of Kliptown not defined by survival, but by the ability to be active community members, to have dreams, and most of all to have hope about the future.

KYP Celebrates Heritage Day

Heritage Day was a huge success for KYP as an organisation, and the event made an impact on the whole Kliptown community. It made people be proud of where they come from and the culture they belong to. KYP celebrates its Fifth Anniversary

The Anniversary Celebration was a great experience for the staff, the children and the groups who visited us that day to celebrate with us. We have come so far from our beginnings in 2007. Yet we realize that there is a long way to go. We hope to achieve even more success in the coming years!
