KYP Leaders Thulani Madondo: Executive Director email: thu_im@hotmail.com Thulani serves as KYP's executive director. He completed his 12th grade in the year 2001, and went on to serve as a service leader in the community of Yeoville for a year through City Year. Thulani got his community development practitioner certificate at Wits university, and went on to further upgrade it with a certificate in community development at the university of Johannesburg. He is also a professional Soweto tourist guide. Meet Thulani Sipho Dladla: Program Director email: sipho_ktp@yahoo.com Sipho serves KYP as the Programs Director, Deputy to Executive Director, Thulani Madondo, and as a Grade 1 tutor. He completed his 12th grade in the year 2004. He is very competent in IT technical support and is one of the One Laptop Per Child experts. Sipho is also a proud member of the gumboots team and has traveled to France and China to bring gumboots dance to the world. Meet Sipho Christina Scott: Financial Manager email: christinakyp58@yahoo.com Christina has been on KYP's leadership team since it's inception, and is its financial manager. She completed her 12th grade in the year 2005, and she has attended a number of trainings in financial management and financial management software. She has helped KYP to have its financial books successfully audited each year. She has also completed a computer course at the Ipelegeng community centre. Meet Christina Patricia (Nelly) Mini: Head Librarian email: nellymkyp@yahoo.com Nelly is KYP's head librarian and also serves as a grade 2 tutor and dance teacher. After completing the 12th grade in the year 2004, she went to study basics in business management. She was one of the founders of KYP in the year 2007 and is proud to be able to help the children of her community. Meet Nelly Xolani Dube: Food Program Manager email: d_xolani@yahoo.com Xolani did his 12th grade in the year 2005 and he studied a computer course at Ipelegeng community centre. He is serving KYP as a cooker as well as a site guide for KYP visitors. Meet Xolani Tshepo Tabohane: Environmental Manager email: ttabohane_kyp@yahoo.com After completing his 12th grade as a member of the class of 2007 tutoring program, Tshepo became very committed to KYP and was given a leadership role. Currently, he directs the Roots and Shoots environmental program at KYP. Tshepo has completed a computer course in Ipelegeng community centre. He also serves KYP as a tutor for the 7th graders, and is the coach for the open soccer team. Meet Tshepo Simphiwe Mthembu: Communications Director email: simphiwekyp@yahoo.com Simphiwe serves as KYP's marketing director, updating KYP's Facebook page and keeping the list of those who have visited KYP up to date. After completing her matriculation exams for the 12th grade in the year 2008, she studied Marketing for a year at Vaal Technology Institute. Meet Simphiwe Thulisiwe Simango: Netball Coach and Grade 3 Tutor email: s_thulisiwe@yahoo.com Thulisiwe is KYP's netball coach, a grade 3 tutor, and assists in the kitchen. She coaches both the under 19 and under 15 netball teams. She completed her grade 12 in year 2004, completed a course in MS Office in 2006, upholstery in the year 2007, and also attended number of trainings through KYP, such as First Aid with Red Cross, coaching with Altus Sports, and "Investment in Excellence" with Edcon. Meet Thulisiwe Siphesihle Magadla: Under 15 Soccer Coach and Grade 6 Tutor email: sihlemagadla@yahoo.com Sihle is a grade 6 tutor and the coach of the under 15 soccer team for KYP. He was a tutoring program student in the years 2008 and 2009 when he was in grades 11 and 12. In addition to his roles on the KYP leadership team, he is a gumboots dancer and a valuable member of KYP's open soccer team. Meet Siphesihle | Monwabisi Baleni: Tutoring Program Manager email: monwakyp@yahoo.com Monwabisi serves as KYP's tutoring program manager and also coordinates the tertiary education students. He has also directed two pen pal programs. He was one of the tutoring program students in KYP's first year, 2007, when he was doing his 12th grade. Unfortunately, after completing school, he was unable to continue on to tertiary education due to financial issues. However, through his commitment to KYP, he was promoted to become on the management team, and has attended several trainings with KYP. Meet Monwabisi Basetsana Lokwane: Performing Arts Coordinator and Assistant Financial Manager email: lbasetsana@yahoo.com Basetsana is KYP's performing arts coordinator and assistant financial manager, as well as a grade 4 tutor. She was a KYP student and graduated from 12th grade in the year 2007. She also took a computer course in 2008 at Ipelegeng community centre. Meet Basetsana Siphiwe Mhlaba: Sports Manager email: siphiwemhlabakyp@yahoo.com Siphiwe manages KYP's sports programs and is one of its soccer coaches. He completed his 12th grade in 1999 and his interest has been always on sports. He did a training in developing young people and children through sports, and loves helping young people develop themselves. Meet Siphiwe Collen Tshazi: OLPC Manager and IT Specialist email: collen_kyp@yahoo.com Collen serves as the One Laptop Per Child program manager and general IT specialist for KYP. He completed the 12th grade in 2009 and was one of the students in KYP's tutoring program. He then went to college for a year to study Systems Engineering in IT at PC training and Business College. Meet Collen Tsakani Ngobeni: Grade 2 Tutor and Kitchen Staff email: tsakani.ngobeni8@gmail.com Tsakani Ngobeni is a grade 2 tutor, and also an assistant to Xolani in the KYP kitchen. She completed her matric in the year 2000. She did a sport training with Altus Sports and has a certificate in upholstery. Meet Tsakani Thulani Mhambi: Grade 6 Tutor, Under 15 Assistant Coach, Assistant Librarian, and General Handyman email: tmhambi@yahoo.com Thulani Mhambi is a grade 6 tutor, an assistant coach for the under 15 soccer team, and assistant librarian at KYP.
